Email Account: Students living in the residence halls will set up their email account and in-room connection at a special session during Welcome Week.

For students living off-campus, setting up an email account is easy and can be done from any of the on-campus microcomputer facilities or from home. Go to http://bilink.berkeley.edu/ and sign up for a UClink account and Home IP account to connect your home computer to the campus network, or receive information about Airbears, a free wireless LAN service to connect your laptop to the campus network. Financial Aid Checks/CARS (Campus Accounts Receivable System) Refunds: If you have authorized electronic funds transfer (EFT), any refunds will be deposited to your bank account, as long as you are registered for the term and your CARS account balance is current.

If you receive money by check, it will be mailed to your local address.
